The Value of Public Speaking Skills

The reason public speaking skills are so valuable is simple. As a speaker you will gain confidence telling your story. You will be more persuasive. Being able to persuade people is the lifeblood of effectiveness for just about everything that you do.

If you want to feel good about yourself when presenting to a group, consider sharpening your speaking skills. Check out the world wide network of Toastmasters as your next step (if you have the guts).

I have been involved in Toastmasters for 4.5 years and I have enjoyed every minute of my involvement. The organization has not only improved my speaking skills but also improved my evaluation skills and leadership skills. You are correct when you state that “being able to persuade people is the lifeblood of effectiveness”, nothing helps more in the building of relationships than a competent and professional sounding person. Thanks for putting a plug in for Toastmasters it is an exceptional and helpful organization.
